Hi, I can't find the question to my answer anywhere else..... Anywho, my character name as many has a double letter, because someone took the original name, however, when I use the HoM reward calculator to attempt and find the original name it says it isn't found... Before I spend 15 dollars is there anyway to check and see if the name really is available via account deletion, or whatever?

Try making a new character again and pick the name you want. If it says you can have it, then its unused. If it says the Character name is in use... then you have your answer.

I've read that the HoM calculator will only work for names of characters that have logged on since the calculator went live. It's likely that the person with the proper name just hasn't logged on in a month. I'm pretty sure ANet don't delete accounts much, if at all.

Very possible. I would try to make a new one, but I have 12 slots already full with guys, haha... I'm about to buy another account though, so if nothing else surfaces, that will do.

Just didn't know if there was anything that I could search to see.

Do this. Or try creating a character.

Arena Net do not delete inactive accounts/characters.

The HoM Calculator isn't a very good indicator as they had to have added Eye of the North to their account and also logged in since it was introduced.

I checked another account, it doesnot show char accounts who have not visited the HoM on atleast one account char it would seem. Sadly that person may have left years ago. The good news you will hopefully snag the name in GW2 if they lost intrest.
